BBQ is bigger than just the food. It's a culture worth teaching, celebrating, and preserving.
BBQ competitions engage students and enhance leadership skills, work ethics, and values.
BBQ is a foundation for friendship, fellowship, and community building around the pit and the table.
The cost per team for annual membership is $200. ($210 if you choose the credit card option). The cost to participate in any competition is $200 per event, per team ($210 if you choose to pay by credit card).
Teams must be members to compete in the Regional competitions.
Teams consist of 1 to 5 high school students who must be registered as 9th-12th grade and must have an HS teacher/staff member who oversees & travels with the team. Membership is open to homeschool programs that have students in 9th-12th grades.
All regional registration forms must be completed online and received by 11:55 p.m. on the Sunday before a competition.
Registration is not allowed after that time and date, which allows the host school to have an accurate count for meat purchases and provides time to collaborate with TXHSBBQ on planning the competition layout.
You will be emailed an invoice once the application is completed. A receipt will be emailed to your email, once a credit card payment is received.
Participants may pay membership and competition fees by mail using a school-issued check or by credit card online. The team may also pay during check-in, at the first attended Regional competition.
All teams must join High School BBQ, Inc. to participate in the competitions. Filling out the Registration Form is REQUIRED.
